What if on the last mission is a skill trainer that would let you use the mount skill on any tameable animal. It will be like charm animal but you can ride it.
Then a ranger can have 2 pets, one he can ride and one that follows.
Because if it's on the last mission, you can't just run through the game on a mount

So we really want the development team to work on adding mounts so they have that to consider while developing the rest of the expansions thereafter versus having them work on new professions and skill as well as missions to make sure the expansion enhances the game to the point we feel like we are buying a whole new game? Is that the idea speedtouch? Sorry no mounts. It's unnecessary and all the wow people will be calling guildwars even more of the "clone of wow." Rangers don't need a ridable animal and no other profession has it so it remains an unbalancer. You might not be able to get the money for wow, but you sure got the mental capital to try to distort other games to be the game you want to play. You got me realizing you aren't into GuildWars the game, just GuildWars the no monthly fee game. At least that is the appearance when you look through this thread at all you have suggested in your rebuttals.
In other words: This game is just starting, it isn't finished. Let the creative team do it's job. Teleporting works fine. It looks like you were just looking for a way to talk about mounts. What if Arena.net comes up with something better, something nicer, that looks cooler, and a place in the game you can use it without all these objections? Give em a chance and they just might, something that all the professions can use, now and in the future. Have you looked at the talent that made GuildWars? Besides the genius founders of Arena.net take a look at Stephen Hwang, Jess Lebow, and James Phinney, just names I picked by their job history. Let em have their shot to make you something as fantastic as GuildWars has shown to be, something that is GuildWars throughout and thus delivers as this game has proven to time and time again.
Not intended to offend or anything of the sort. Just sharing what I could and hope this was helpful.
*Edit* Sgt I think so too and I hope they make speedtouch an awesome addition if they do. Something he can tell his wow friends about and make their jaw drop. hehehe

heh, there is still a fee for this game. The no p2p for this game is just one + to why I bought it.Im not going to list all the reasons I bought this game but please take note that I did NOT buy this game because it didn't have p2p.
I think the mounts are something that would make it much better because in older games i've played you have to get to level 60+ at least to get a mount, and because of the level cap it will be much easier to get one.I've always found mounts fun in games.
So maybe not this year, but hopefully next year they will add them in.
or the year after that...

Oh my I left out the word "monthly." Well I fixed it and, as I also said it appears that way from your rebuttals.
Your other reasons or whatever I could care less, just maybe make the effort not to waste everyone elses time with something you already know isn't gonna happen. Becuase this isn't a clone of wow and the developers don't want it to be.
Please pay attention: They put in teleporting so there is no need for mounts. In actual application of fact you have your answer right there in teleporting being an intrinsic non-negotiable part of GuildWars. Get used to it unless of course your real intention in making your thread was anything but what you posted, then we have another matter entirely. You might wanna read this to avoid getting your threads deleted and your account gone.
No need to post to this thread any further, obviously.

Yeah, i totally agree. What took us an entire night to get from ascalon to Yack's Bend (wasnt till the sun came up) I dont think i would want to replay the entire trip just to get back to some area i invested hours of gameplay into unlocking. The devs did a great job in making a truly unike game, and having to spend redundant hours crossing back through already unlocked zones would get repetitious.
